Upper Egypt Sunflower Seeds

Egyptian sunflower seeds (Helianthus annuus L.) cultivated in Upper Egypt benefit from abundant sunshine, warm temperatures, and well-drained soils that produce large, plump seeds with high oil content and excellent kernel-to-shell ratio. Egypt's sunflower crop offers both confectionery-grade (striped) and oilseed (black) varieties, with confectionery grades prized for their large size and clean taste.

HS Herbs supplies sunflower seeds in-shell and as hulled kernels. Our seeds are mechanically cleaned, size-graded, and optically sorted. Hulled kernels undergo additional processing to remove shell fragments and broken pieces. Each lot is tested for oil content, moisture, free fatty acids, peroxide value, and complete microbiology. Raw and roasted options are available.
