Egyptian Rosemary

Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus) grown in Sinai is supplied as leaves and as powder. Sinai's dry, sunny conditions and well-drained soils suit an aromatic shrub that concentrates its volatile oils under moderate water stress, and the dry harvest window allows the leaf to be dried without the extended drying periods that cost aroma elsewhere.

Whole leaf is specified where the material is visible in the finished product or where the buyer grinds close to use — the better technical choice, since grinding exposes surface area and volatiles begin to escape immediately. Powder is supplied where the buyer's process requires it.

Applications span culinary seasoning and spice blends, meat and convenience-food manufacture, botanical extraction including antioxidant applications, and personal-care formulation. Aroma strength is the parameter most buyers care about, and it is best handled as a contractual volatile-oil figure measured on the shipped lot rather than as a typical value.
