Egyptian oregano (Origanum vulgare L.) cultivated in the Sinai Peninsula develops an intensely aromatic, carvacrol-rich essential oil profile that distinguishes it from Mediterranean and Turkish origins. The extreme aridity and mineral-rich soils of Sinai produce oregano with volatile oil concentrations that consistently exceed 2% and carvacrol levels above 60% — making it ideal for both culinary and pharmaceutical applications.

Our oregano is harvested at full flowering stage when carvacrol concentrations peak, shade-dried to preserve volatile compounds, and mechanically de-stemmed to maximize leaf content.
